Lies Evoke Doubt is part of an ongoing series entitled 'Doubt in the Digital Age,' exploring the notion of doubt and its prevalence within current society. The series draws on contemporary existence concerning social media and living in an internet-driven environment through the visual aesthetics of digital glitch. This work represents a secondary series within the context of doubt, exploring how tufting, typically used for the production of floor rugs and textiles can be displayed in a familiar format, stretched around stretcher bars like a painting. This work is the first to explore splicing in additional textile panels to create raised 3D elements that extend beyond the confines of the stretcher bars.
