The wonderful and exquisite world of Brussels-based artist Mu00e9gane Likin first caught our eye a few months ago when she was introduced to us by one of newcubeu2019s artist Pedro Ruxa. With her small sized landscape paintings, Likin talks about absence and memories, and makes us reflect on our relationship to our past. nnThank you for the studio visit @megane_likin and for this amazing introduction @pedro_ruxa ud83dudc9a

We first discovered the works of New York-based artist Lyn Liu a few years prior to her graduation from Columbia University in New York and prior to her first solo show with Kasmin. Since, we have followed her impeccable and promising career and have proudly placed her works in collections we advise on. nnLyn Liuu2019s (b. Beijing, China, 1993) work addresses the psychological tension that underpins relationships between individuals. Through a sequence of uncanny cinematic tableaux, the artist mines her own personal experiences of alienation, utilizing symbolism and an atmosphere of the absurd to provoke reflections on what Liu considers our oppressive social reality.nnLyn Liu is currently featured in a solo exhibition at the Breeder in Athens. The exhibition u201cMocking Gameu201d is open to the public until March 2, 2024. nnPictured here: nLyn Liu, Imitation-Standing & Imitation-Absent, 2023nPrivate Collection, UAE. nn@the_breeder_gallery n@lynlynlliu n@kasmingallery n@columbiamfavisualarts
Known for her paintings and installations that stand in the edge of abstraction and figuration, German artist Cornelia Baltes captures corporeal elements such as hands, feet or part of a face, in motion and renders them in bold color fields and gestural forms. nnHer works are included in several private collections as well as institutions such as the Victoria and Albert Museum Collection in London, The Deji Art Museum in Nanjing, China and the British Government Art Collection. nnWeu2019re delighted to have placed this artwork by Cornelia Baltes in a prestigious private collection focusing on works by female and female-identifying artists only. nnPictured here: nCornelia Baltes, Nmo, 2022. nPrivate Collection.
To newcube artist Yuma Radne, paintings always have references to her own story, experiences and heritage. Born in Ulaan Ude, Buriad-Mongolia, in 2001 and now living and working in London, she explores the relationship between humans and nature, and narrates the connection between the two. Mythological, fantastical, energetic and incredibly unique, Radne creates her own myths to explore, and operates with the idea that nothing is supposed to have an answer and anything can be any color you want it to be.nnPictured here: nYuma Radne, The Duality, 2023.

Arang Choiu2019s creative process is an intricate dance between inspiration and execution. Her prolific drawings and sketches are often the gateway to her imaginative universe, capturing fleeting ideas before - or as - they take form.nnInspired by Leonora Carrington, Nicole Eisenman and Henri Rousseau, she is drawn to flora and fauna and paints their u201cstrange and extreme momentsu201d, as a testimony to her insatiable curiosity. nnPictured here: Arang Choi, Emulb am Feuerwerk, pencil on paper, 2020.
