The series Beach Body began during a road trip through the Balkans, when Yurková frequently visited swimming spots such as lakes, rivers, public pools, thermal baths, and beaches. Throughout the journey, she documented her own body as well as the bodies she encountered, observing how they transform in proximity to water. By focusing on singular figures, she rendered them monumental. At times, the bodies extend across the entire picture plane; at others, they partially conceal themselves behind foreground plants, which create an illusion of privacy.
These motifs later evolved into the ongoing Beach Body series, initiated in 2021. With each holiday spent near water, new works continue to emerge.
